ARE WE JUST VICTIMS OF OUR DAILY ROUTINES?

If someone would tell you, that 90% of your day you are doing the exact same movements at the exact same time, every day – how would you feel about it?

I discovered the work of Peter Funch, a New York-based photographer who took a photo at 42nd and Vanderbilt every day between 8:30-9:30 for 9 years.

In a later analysis of the photos, he realized that there were the same people over and over again. And not only that – many of them had the same posture, the same facial expression and sometimes even the same clothes over and over again.

So that got me thinking. Are those people (that could be us) aware that they do the same thing with the same face and the same kind of clothes every day at the same time?

I would feel shocked and would immediately start challenging myself with new routines (maybe getting up at a different time, having breakfast outside and not at home, dance on the street, whatever). Not even routines that are „better“ or healthier.. just different ones. Because I believe that if what I do is every day the same, my thinking and feeling will be every day the same and the other way around.

Not even talking about all the muscles I never use and the ones I overuse and therefore become wrinkles and tensions.

So.. let's spice up our daily routines? Any ideas?
